Ok, let’s move on to the most important Christmas gifts I got: the Games. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been called a copout, DLC bait, a waste of money and others I won’t repeat in mixed company. But don’t you believe it; this game is good. Sure the added characters could have been DLC to Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (as well as the new game mode: Heroes vs. Heralds); and yes some of the victory music is a little lackluster, and I’ll agree it basically is the same game people bought months prior. At the end of the day however it is an improved playing experience that gives players more characters, thus more options, to fine tune there style. Also the Heroes vs. Heralds mode is creative and adds a little strategy to the old brawling formula. Finally the game’s only $40.00 ($35.00 in some places), if you trade in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 you’ll be able to afford it, even in this month of tighten belts and tax returns. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is like your favorite food, familiar and the same, but it’s also has your favorite topping on it and your favorite drink come with it – making ‘what’s familiar and the same’ better.
