I call it competitive running, others call it indie Smash Bros, both would be a correct assessment. This Wii U exclusive has players control one of several singular-colored runners with one of two goals to complete; outrun and survive. EZ right, especially for a platformer – wrong… In addition of other players smacking, smash, and butt stomping you into a bottomless pit; Runbow stages are always changing due to the changing of the background color. Green platforms will disappear when the green background rolls in, red pillars will form when the screen goes red and so forth. The challenge and replay ability is through the roof and racing is only the tip of the iceberg. The game has modes, challenges, ironman stages (called The Bowhemoth), time trials, costumes, online play, and even secret characters. Now I’m going to be honest with you people right now; really don’t play ‘indie’ games – I’ve been playing games a loooooooong time and ‘indie’ games are games done better years ago. Runbow is not those ‘indie games’, its actually an original idea done very well and I’ll be more than happy to buy this game anytime this year.
