Armada’s E3 picks: Deus Ex – Mankind Divided (2016)

So even though I’ve never played the original game I’ve been a Deus Ex player for a while; from the game’s sequel (Deus Ex – Invisible War) to its prequel (Deus Ex – Human Revolution) I’ve been a fan of its tale of a non-obliterated future where man and machine are tied together by unseen forces beyond their control – until players step in. Depending on what you do can change the power struggle of these forces in interesting and unpredictable ways. So basically they were Mass Effect before Mass Effect. After Human Rev I thought the series was over and tied to the other games nicely, so one was more surprised than me when I saw the trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Adam Jenson’s back and ready for more conspiracies, intrigue, and a little heavy assault as he’s joined a task force to stop a new terrorist cell – but not really. You’re actually working for an independent group who joined the task force to find the unknown organization that not only controls the force but the terrorists as well. Mankind Divided is already looking to be the most well written, yet still very action orientated, game in the series. Sadly we got to wait until next year to get it, but hey, since I didn’t know they were making a pre sequel to human revolution in the first place waiting one more year will be a nano snap.
