Dragon Age Inquisition Week (Part 2) – The World

Now one of the chief complains that players had with DA II is that the land of Kirkwall was repetitious and lack any diversity in the dungeons. Again it didn’t bother me but I did notice it and I could understand how it could rub people the wrong way. I mean with fantasy your imagination gets set ablaze, but when you see the world your experiencing and it got a lot of browns, blacks, greys, and other underwhelming imagery you can’t help be a little disappointed. In Inquisition however they not holding back; not only allowing players to see the other lands of Thedas but each land has many different secrets, so much so that the designers fear that some of them maybe never found – that dedication! Now please note: this ain’t Skyrim, it won’t be open world, but it is a far cry from being liner either so I don’t think we have anything to worry about. On the whole this will be the biggest Dragon Age game to date, and I for one can’t wait to explore every nook & cranny possible when it comes out.

Trailer-rama – Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim

The first Dragonborn – he’s not your friend.

Well people I can’t believe it, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim just turned a year old yesterday (they grow up so fast) and what did we get from it? An epic adventure that’s almost endless in the main game, one DLC about vampires and another about home making and adoption. So yeah, Skyrim keeps it fresh one way or another, but oh boi the next one going back to dragons in a big way! Check this out and try not to tell me there isn’t a lump in your throat the size of mars, because you can’t!

Games & Gear of 2012 Reloaded – Diablo III (05/15/12)

You know ladies and gentlemen, some poor unfortunate souls think the world’s going to end this December thanks to some Mayan BS. Well let me tell you something people, if the gates of hell do open and demons show up guess what I’m going to do. I’m to take my +8 Resplendent Battersmash, find the nearest minion of the Burning Hells and bash it into Oblivion (or Skyrim, if I had the choice). Then repeat til the world is demon free once again; but how do I know how to put down the forces of evil? Why I would simply learn from the master: which is Diablo III baby – it will release in a little over a month. Admittedly I’m never played the other games in the series; however because of the hype from both Blizzard Entertainment and fans from all around the world I figured what the underworld I’ll give it a shot. Now being that the series is known for superior dungeon crawling I very much doubt I’ll be able to finish the game in an hour. With five customizable character classes, near-limitless arsenal and powers, locations that are also labyrinths, living cast of characters, and multiplayer – I’ll be lucky if I see the light of day before my late 50s.

Character Quote – Skyrim guards

Ok, I get, you got shot! Now turn around while I pick this lock.

Ok people… This, this is insane; I’m serious, this one quote has been picked and ran with all over the internet. Why? I don’t know. That’s why the world is so wacky; one minute you’re saying something or doing something, person records it, then the next moment you enjoy a mediocratic rise of web fame for a few a month then disappear back into the obscurity (ITJB). In this case, a quote from the latest console juggernaut: Skyrim. Basically whenever a player character enters any town or city with guards in it they will eventually say: ‘I used to be an adventurer just like you, but then I took an arrow in the knee‘. Some gamers theorized that all the guards say this because the naïve warriors of Skyrim don’t use knee guards in their armors; so they in turn take lot punishment to the knee to the point where they are forced to retire to a guard position. Others think is sloppy programing. Well whatever the reason it’s today’s quote of the day, not because we think it’s a really funny or profound, only because it’s popular with the kids today. After all one of Armada’s many mottos is ‘Joining band wagon’s since 2008’.

Bonus – Just because we care!
