You know, sometimes I forgot exactly how far gaming has come since the 80’s. From simple pixel sprites that go up and down, deflecting a square ball to multimedia master pieces like Mass Effect – it is truly amazing. I remember when Super Mario 64 was the most advanced video game ever, now it’s just a nostalgic piece of history. And then there are games like Mortal Kombat 4. Since the DLC announcement of Freddy Kruger in the latest MK gore fest, True Backlash has been absorbing lore and info on the series ad nauseum. One day he showed the ‘Jax’ ending of MK4 – after laughing myself into submission I realized that at the time this was unbearably cool, but now it earns a place in my WTF/FTW segment.
